Where will we be donating the money we raise?
Community Alliance With Family Partners
"Over the past few years, CAFF’s California Family Farmer Emergency Fund has directed hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of generous donations from people like you to the most vulnerable farmers in crisis, be it the rippling impact of the COVID-19 pandemic or the threat of wildfire. And while CAFF’s Climate Smart Farming program works to empower our farmers to both fight the root cause of and adapt to the impacts of climate change, these evermore devastating wildfires remind us just how important that work is."
"Puente's Response to CZU August Lighting Complex Fire:
On Sunday August 16, multiple fires began burning near our local communities of Pescadero, Loma Mar, and out on Highway 1 near Año Nuevo... Puente is providing financial assistance to those who lost work hours, materials goods, their home or had unexpected expenses due the fire.
We are moved by the kindness, solidarity and generosity shown by all community members during this critical situation."
California Community Foundation
"In the aftermath of a disaster, immediate needs for victims can include shelter, food, cash and other basic needs. A community’s recovery is often more complex and depends on the scope of the disaster and an affected community’s specific context and needs. For these reasons, the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund supports both mid-term to long-term recovery efforts for those affected by California wildfires. Since the Wildfire Relief Fund opened in 2003, we have granted more than $24 million to support relief and recovery efforts in the aftermath of these devastating wildfires."
